DnaJ homolog subfamily C member 3 protein (DNAJC3, P58IPK), which is upregulated in influenza A infection, binds to PKR inhibiting its activation and ensuring ongoing protein translation during viral infection (Polyak et al, 1996; Tang et al, 1996; Melville et al, 1999; Yan et al, 2002).
