Based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) experiments using mouse recombinant proteins that showed formation of heterotypic trans dimers between CDH11 and CDH8, and based on the sequence similarity between CDH24, CDH8 and CDH11, CDH24 is thought to form heterotypic trans dimers with CDH11 (Brasch et al. 2018).
