In zygotes, endogenous small interfering RNAs (endosiRNAs) are produced from double-stranded RNAs formed by mRNAs and antisense lncRNAs from specific loci and bind AGO2 (inferred from mouse homologs), an Argonaute family protein that possesses endoribonuclease activity.
