EIF2AK3 directly phosphorylates NFE2L2 and induces dissociation of KEAP1 from NFE2L2 thus inducing nuclear transport (Cullinan et al, 2003). This observation is primarily in mice but this regulation significance is well-reported in human diseases like AML (Jang et al, 2020).
