NPAS4, in complex with ARNT2, binds enhancer elements in the first intron of the RET gene (Sribudiani et al. 2011). In rat primary neurons, both Arnt and Arnt2 were found to bind to the first intron of the Ret gene by high-throughput ChIP-seq (Brigidi et al. 2019).
