Upon binding to p53 response elements at the CASP10 (caspase-10) gene locus, TP53 (p53) stimulates CASP10 expression (Rikhof et al. 2003). CASP10 is involved in apoptosis triggered by death receptor signaling (Wang et al. 2001, Sprick et al. 2002).
