STAMBPL1 (AMSH-LP) has Lys-63 deubiquitinase activity (Sato et al. 2008) and positively regulates TGF-beta signaling (Ibarolla et al. 2004) but unlike STAMBP (AMSH1) it does not bind STAM (Kikuchi et al. 2003).
