N-acylneuraminate 9-phosphatase (NANP) dephosphorylates N-acetylneuraminate -9-phosphate (Neu5Ac-9-P) to produce N-acetylneuraminate (Neu5Ac). NANP requires Mg2+ as a cofactor (Maliekal et al. 2006).
