The protein phosphatase PP2A, formed of PP2A-29B:Microtubule star (MTS):Widerborst (WDB), helps stabilise hyperphosphorylated Clock (CLK) by dephosphorylating it and so prevent it from degradation. CLK levels remain relatively constant because hypophosphorylated CLK is generated by de novo synthesis or by dephosphorylation of existent hyperphosphorylated CLK.
