Pias4 sumoylates Nr4a2 (Nurr1) with Sumo2,3 at lysine-558 and lysine-577 (Saijo et al. 2009). Sumoylated Nr4a2 interacts with the Co-REST complex to transrepress promoters of genes involved in inflammation.
