Phosphorylated Stat3 Dimer Translocates to the Nucleus
Stat3 dimers are imported into the nucleus by the importin alpha/beta pathway. Stat3 constitutively shuttles into and out of the nucleus. The unphosphorylated form is predominantly cytosolic. Phosphorylation of Stat3 shifts the distribution from the cytosol to the nucleus.
