RalA Exchanges GDP for GTP
RalA releases GDP and binds GTP (inferred from the simian RalA in Frech et al. 1990). The reaction is enhanced by guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) and opposed by GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs) which activate the intrinsic GTPase activity of RalA (Chen et al. 2011).
