The complex of the RUNX1:CBFB heterodimer and histone acetyltransferase CREBBP (CBP) binds the promoter of the CSF2 (GM-CSF) gene, encoding Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (Oakford et al. 2010). RUNX1 can also recruit the SWI/SNF complex to the CSF2 gene promoter (Bakshi et al. 2010).
